Located in urban Lemon Grove, CA, Anna Baker Horsemanship offers a variety of horse services available to the public. Our goal is to allow people to have an opportunity to interact with horses, whether a new comer to the horse world or a veteran.

We offer an excellent lesson program for ages 5 and up, covering many disciplines of riding. We put an emphasis on safe, well balanced riding techniques accompanied by a strong seat.

February 2016 Update: ABH would like to welcome Trainer/Instructor Cheryl Paz. She has so far proven to be a great asset to our team.

About Anna Baker Horsemanship:

Our facility sits on almost 3 acres of land in the residential part Lemon Grove. Established in 2010 by Anna Baker, the property has a long history with one of the original barns built still standing, but only in partial use. 2015 renovation plans are already in the works and will soon change the facility's look and functionality.

Meet Anna Baker:

"Greetings, my name is Anna and I love horses, of course. I have been riding 20+ years and have been working professionally in this industry, teaching and training, for over 10 years.

I got my start as a very typical young girl with a love of horses. My parents bought a riding lesson for me and I never quit. My initial training is in English Hunter/Jumper, competing in many shows on horses I borrowed. Then in my teens I switched to western, learning Cutting and Sorting with the occasional English ride.

When I turned 18, I bought my first horse. Over the next few years, I worked in many different areas of the industry. I also worked for many different people such as breeder, trainers, instructors, and boarding facilities. Using all my knowledge I gained over that time, I decided to branch off on my own and start my own training business.

I currently take part in continuing education and I encourage all horse people to continually educate themselves. You can never know everything there is to know about horses. Be open minded about different ideas and techniques, you might learn something useful. "
